THE REGRET OF AN UNFINISHED PROMISE
This series of six self-portraits presents a visual narrative that uses symbols that have been carefully staged each. As a whole, these photographs question the ideal of the perfect family, a concept that was built and has been promoted and imposed by society through time. They manifest the need to acknowledge that this is a social construct that not always reflects families’ realities. Each family has its own unique and diverse terms in its configuration, relationships and circumstances.
